Public Health Center of Buluspesantren 2 Holds Health Education and Eye Screening Event

Buluspesantren 2, August 5, 2023 - The Public Health Center of Buluspesantren 2, in collaboration with RSU Purbowangi and Kebumen Eye Center (KEC), organized a health education and eye screening event on Saturday, August 5th. The event took place in the Puskesmas hall and was attended by 44 participants from the Prolanis program.

The event was graced by the presence of key figures in the medical field, including drg. Nurul, the Head of the Public Health Center, dr. April, Sp.M. from RSU Purbowangi, and representatives from Kebumen Eye Center, dr. Mustofa and Noni, who are also involved in the Prolanis program.

The focus of the education session revolved around Diabetic Retinopathy, which is one of the numerous complications stemming from diabetes mellitus. dr. April, Sp.M., emphasized that Diabetic Retinopathy can affect individuals with various types of diabetes. This was underscored by the findings from the screening of the 44 participants, where 2 individuals were identified with retinal issues. dr. April stressed the importance of managing blood sugar levels to mitigate the risk of such complications.

In her closing remarks, drg. Nurul extended her gratitude to RSU Purbowangi and KEC for their collaboration and assistance in making the event possible. She expressed hope that through initiatives like this, participants of the Prolanis program would be better equipped to identify potential eye issues at an early stage.

The event served as an essential platform for educating the community about the importance of eye health in the context of diabetes. Puskesmas Pesantren Bulus 2 Gelar Penyuluhan Kesehatan dan Pemeriksaan Mata

Buluspesantren, 5 Agustus 2023 - Puskesmas Buluspesantren 2 bekerja sama dengan RSU Purbowangi dan Kebumen Eye Center (KEC) menyelenggarakan penyuluhan kesehatan dan pemeriksaan mata pada Sabtu, 5 Agustus. Acara berlangsung di aula Puskesmas dan diikuti oleh 44 peserta dari program Prolanis.

Acara disemarakkan dengan hadirnya tokoh-tokoh penting di bidang medis antara lain drg. Nurul selaku Kepala Puskesmas  Buluspesantren II, dr. April, Sp.M. dari RSU Purbowangi, serta perwakilan dari Kebumen Eye Center, dr. Mustofa dan Noni yang juga terlibat dalam program Prolanis.

Fokus sesi edukasi berkisar pada Diabetic Retinopathy, yang merupakan salah satu dari sekian banyak komplikasi yang berasal dari diabetes melitus. Dr. April, Sp.M., menekankan bahwa Retinopati Diabetik dapat menyerang individu dengan berbagai jenis diabetes. Hal ini ditegaskan oleh temuan dari skrining terhadap 44 peserta, di mana 2 orang teridentifikasi dengan masalah retina. dr. April menekankan pentingnya mengelola kadar gula darah untuk mengurangi risiko komplikasi tersebut.

Dalam sambutan penutupnya, drg. Nurul mengucapkan terima kasih kepada RSU Purbowangi dan KEC atas kerjasama dan bantuannya dalam terselenggaranya acara ini. Ia berharap melalui inisiatif seperti ini, peserta program Prolanis akan lebih siap untuk mengidentifikasi potensi masalah mata pada tahap awal.
